Live & Unplugged - Spare Rubs +Jake Cheek

For September's Live & Unplugged event, we are delighted to welcome aboard Brightlingsea based, bluesy-jazzy duo Spare Rubs and singer-songwriter Jake Cheek from Colchester. We are thankful for the time and talent they are all sharing to make this fundraising event possible.

Spare Rubs are two -fifths of the Blues band Vic and the Vapour Rubs here . For Live & Unplugged they will be performing some of the bands music 'but quieter'! Vic's vocals have a bluesy-soul tone which evoke times past. Her sound has a rich, heartfelt energy that draws you in! Accompanied by Dave's blues style guitar playing, the combined sound is joyful to hear. The duo are used to performing in a cosy and welcoming space as they host aclive music night at Ye Olde Swan in Brightlingsea. Vic also leads a seven piece Americana style band Victoria's Big Easy.
