Sam Luxford has very kindly donated cards and this amazing piece of original art for us to help raise funds for the restoration of SB  May.

The work is taken from Stanford No.5, The Thames Estuary, dated 1958.  Sam hand stitches onto an original used navigation chart.  Frame has been made by a local craftsman using reclaimed wood taken from the SS Pegu.  Pegu was sunk in 1917 by a German U boat, the cargo was Burmese teak.  The wood was reclaimed around 2011.

Essex, where the hope is for the SB May to stop in 5 ports in Essex and then Ipswich in Suffolk with a regular schedule and full time crew.  St Osyth is on the map where the May is currently waiting for rescue and restoration, when she will become a floating bakery stoping to offer hope and a safe space for vulnerable women to spend some time in the gentle art of sourdough baking.  Your purchase will help us get closer to making our vision a reality.

This is a beautiful piece of art and craftsmanship.  A piece of history to hang in your home or workplace.

Frame comes with fixings attached.

Thank you Sam
