Greetings card designed and produced by Sam Luxford of Navistitch, Manningtree, Essex.

Sam has very kindly donated cards for us to help raise funds for the restoration of SB  May.  Your purchase will help us get closer to making our vision a reality.

London was the home of the Thames Sailing Barge May.  Silvertown is where Tate&Lyle have the sugar refinery and is shown on the chart.  During the Tate & Lyle years, May would embark on a trip with up to 40 guests from Tower Pier where Tate & Lyle's head office at the time was just a 5 minute walk away at Sugar Quay.   Having Tower Bridge raised 'just for you' is a spectacular experience, the trip downriver would pass the refinery at Silvertown before turning just after the barrier for the return trip where the bridge would once again lift 'just for you' to return to Tower Pier.
