Founder - Women in Boat Building

Belinda Joslin is the Founder of Women in Boatbuilding CIC and passionate supporter of the Bread and Roses Project.

She grew up sailing on the East Coast rivers, watching the sailing barges in awe but never feeling they were a place for her. Through the Bread and Roses barge she hopes to create meaningful skills opportunities for women at all levels; to learn basic practical skills ; grow their boatbuilding careers; become experienced Shipwrights, and help to create a more diverse and welcoming maritime industry.

Belinda lives in Essex with her husband, 3 children, 4 chickens, a hamster, a bearded dragon, a very large Labrador and too many boats. She worked as a finisher at Spirit Yachts for several years after being at home with the children for a long time. Prior to children she worked in PR and partnership marketing in Soho for Disney film releases.
